Who is Lake Lawtonka Kiteboarding?

Kitesurfing. Kiteboarding.  Kites.

We are a franchise of the Okkite.com, Oklahoma's largest kiteboarding school.  We started this company with one idea in mind.  It shouldn't be that tough to learn to kiteboard.  

Kiteboarding is one of the purest, most incredibly exciting sports ever created.  My dream started with seeing a guy jump over an island while I was in the military.  I had done every sport there was and I still just stood there with my mouth open when I saw it.  I knew I couldn't rest until I could fly like that.

Six years later, I've dedicated my life to bringing the real joy and excitement of this kitesurfing and kiteboarding (it's called surfing in the ocean, and boarding on flat water) lifestyle to other people who live in the central U.S.

Lake Lawtonka has always been known for being windy and having a great community of wakeboarders, skiers, sailors, and people that live and love the outdoor lifestyle.

I've lived in Oklahoma City for most of my life, and love the local lakes there as well as the kite community that exists.  The wild success of kiting in OKC, seeing people's eyes light up the first time they launch that big kite, the grins that just won't stop after a day on the water, jumping, flying, surfing, living, it's time to bring that to the awesome people in the Lawton area.

I believe that people learn best through safe, positive, friendly, and encouraging methods. We've been so successful because we're there for you through the entire process, building you up, laughing with you through the successes, and having your back through the crashes.  

If you start a surf scene with positivity and good people, you can create life long friends and a community that supports each other.
